Photos of Miley Cyrus partying in France this weekend are creating a stir around the internet. And no wonder: the pics very clearly show the squeaky-clean teen pop star and Twilight actress Ashley Greene… dancing. That’s right — dancing. In one of the photos, Miley, 17, even looks like she might be doing a fist-pump! Are you totally shocked yet?
The “controversy” comes mainly from the fact that the Parisian club, VIP Room, has free-flowing liquor. Add in the fact that Greene, Cyrus’s LOL co-star, is 23, and that Cyrus was wearing a fairly risque (though totally on-trend) lace shirt, and you have the makings of a sloppy starlet. Some bloggers even went so far as to deduce that Miley was drunk from her facial expression in the pictures.
There’s only one problem with all the tsk-tsking: nobody saw Miley drinking. Reports say that she was sucking on a lollipop the whole night (shown in this photo), which is pretty hard to do with a drink in your hand. Incidentally, if she had been drinking, Cyrus would have been within her legal rights: the drinking age in Paris is 16.
Why are the gossip hounds so eager to watch Miley Cyrus turn into the next Lindsay Lohan? By all accounts, she’s doing just fine. Cyrus still seems confused about her public image, but she does appear satisfied to channel her naughty side into film roles and music videos, rather than acting up offscreen. That’s about as well-adjusted as it gets when you’re an internationally famous teenager.
So yes, this seems like the biggest overreaction to dancing since Jennifer Grey was forbidden from seeing Patrick Swayze. But we’ve come to expect this by now. A lot of Cyrus’ “bad” behavior is projected onto her, whether it’s Perez Hilton posting a questionably obscene paparazzi shot or her innocuous “pole dance” at 2009’s Teen Choice Awards. At this rate, if she does something really scandalous, it will probably make the front page of the New York Times. For now, can we please stop confusing Miley with the Britneys and Lindsays of the world?

Dad, why does Miley always get all the attention?
How many times do you think Billy Ray Cyrus has heard that from Miley Cyrus’ big brother, Trace?
Well – now dad’s doing something to make it stop!
Billy Ray Cyrus will co-star with 21-year-son Trace in a reality show that investigates UFO activity, Syfy announced Tuesday.
In “UFO: Unbelievably Freakin’ Obvious” the Cyrus boys investigate conspiracy theories about unexplained activity and paranormal phenomena, the cable network said in a statement.
“Getting the opportunity to take this adventure with my son, who has always had a keen interest in this area, is a dream come true,” said the country music star.
Billy Ray Cyrus, 49, made fame in the country music scene with his “”Achy Breaky Heart” single but re-emerged on the entertainment scene when he co-starred with his tween-starlet daughter Miley on Disney’s “Hannah Montana” for four seasons.
Trace was the frontman for the Metro Station rock group – which broke up earlier in 2010.
“Our audience craves authentic, compelling and informative storytelling that pushes the boundaries of our normal world,” said Mark Stern, Executive Vice President of Original Programming at Syfy. “It will be interesting to see what truth Billy Ray and Trace may discover.”

U.K. rap star Dizzee Rascal may take home his second Barclayard Mercury Prize, this time for his fourth album “Tongue N’ Cheek,” when the prestigious British award is handed out in London tonight (Sept. 7). Although a win would make him the first artist to notch two Mercury awards, the 25-year-old rapper is more concerned with his other current projects, including “Loca,” a new collaboration with Shakira for her forthcoming album “Sale el Sol.”
Dizzee tells Billboard.com that he only joined the Colombian pop star in her studio for about an hour to work on “Loca,” but that he was “honored” to contribute to her new disc, due out Oct. 19. “She’s a bit of a trendsetter — she does loads of different things on a major scale,” says Dizzee. “You’d expect her to use an American rapper [for the song], but she chose me. It meant a lot.”
In the English version of the song, the rapper tosses off rhymes like, “Chica caliente, Got me rapping to merengue/I feel so el presidente” in between Shakira’s stylish pop vocals. While “Loca” is Dizzee Rascal’s first stab at Latin music, he says that he would have no problem working more closely with the genre in the future.
“I’d like to be in that Spanish market. I got into the whole reggaeton thing when it came out, so I always wanted to get around to something like that,” says the rapper. Dizzee also says that working with Shakira was a good place to start, and that he’d love to collaborate with Pitbull as well. “He did a freestyle over one of my tracks on one of my mixtapes, so that’s all it’s been so far, but I’d love to see it. I like how far he’s come in his career.”
Meanwhile, Dizzee is serving as a judge alongside Jamie Cullum and Sharleen Spiteri on “Must Be the Music,” a British talent show which premiered on U.K. network Sky1 last month. The rapper says he was attracted to “Music” because, unlike “The X Factor” or “Britain’s Got Talent,” the show emphasizes artist development.
“‘Must Be the Music’ basically gives the artists full control,” says Dizzee, who will help crown a winner on Sept. 19 at Wembley Arena. “Their music is put out on iTunes, but they get the money off the sales, it doesn’t go to anybody else…And we try to give people constructive criticism, instead of just telling them that they’re shit.”
While Dizzee Rascal hasn’t started working on his fifth album yet, he feels confident that fourth album “Tongue N’ Cheek” has a good chance to take home the Mercury Prize tonight. “Nobody’s ever won it twice,” says the rapper, “but as far as the quality of the album, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t.”

Disney star Selena Gomez says she feels younger than her age.
The newly turned 18-year-old does not feel like a grown-up just yet.
The Ramona and Beezus actress told Latina magazine: ‘I’m 18, but I feel like I’m still 15.
‘I feel very young at heart and I still want to jump up and down on my bed singing and rocking out.’
And Gomez admits at her age she hasn’t quite got the whole romance thing figured out.
She added: ‘You don’t really know when you’re in love at this age, I don’t know what love is.’
Although Selena does know what traits her ideal boy would have.
The Wizards of Waverly Place star added: ‘I would like someone who is not cool and who is really fun to be around and loves family and has good morals.’

Hollywood Records is getting ready to release “Wizards of Waverly Place” star Selena Gomez’s sophomore album (album will drop on September 21, 2010) but you can experience the release of title track “A Year Without Rain” right here first. See below for the official music video starring television, film and music sensation Selena Gomez & The Scene (band members Ethan Roberts, Joey Clement, Greg Garman, and Dane Forrest).
Gomez’s new album showcases the 18-year-old mini-mogul in a mature, vibrant and fresh way. “California Gurl” Katy Perry guests on one of the new tracks (“Rock God”) and rapper Eric Bellinger lends his voice to another (“Intuition”). The Disney star is growing up and wants the world to notice. Gomez shares, “I really wanted something that felt good to perform, but had a techno/dance vibe. I wanted something that had meaning and melody, and more empowering lyrics.” Gomez’s first solo album was titled “Kiss & Tell” and was gold-certified.
Gomez found just what she was looking for when “A Year Without Rain” found its way to her ears and made them perk up instantly. “When I got the song, I went through the roof. Everybody has that one person they can’t live without. It was exactly what I wanted to say.” Not only did she say what she wanted to say, but she said it in two languages! “A Year Without Rain” has also been recorded in Spanish. It marks the first time Gomez has recorded in both languages on a particular song.
Recently, the popular Beverly Cleary book-turned-feature film “Ramona and Beezus” helped Gomez dip her feet into the ever-changing movie landscape of Hollywood. Gomez confides, “I wanted something completely different from my show. All these incredible actors, being able to learn from them and get my feet wet in the film world. It was the perfect way to get into it.” Elizabeth Allen directed “Ramona and Beezus”. Alongside Gomez were well-known stars Joey King, John Corbett, Bridget Moynahan, and Ginnifer Goodwin. “Ramona and Beezus” is still playing and you can catch it here, Seattle!

Lindsay Lohan has “multiple offers” for her first TV interview after leaving jail/rehab, and one of her leading suitors is NBC’s “Today.”
TMZ said “Today” is “actively” pursuing her along with other unnamed shows.
Meanwhile, Dina Lohan told the celebrity news site that “no final decision has been made” on her daughter’s first TV interview since jail. However, “Today” also previously had the interview with the mother, in which she discussed the rehab progress and other topics with host Matt Lauer.

Lindsay Lohan is ready to reveal what happened during her stints in jail and rehab this summer, and sources say the starlet is likely to land on NBC’s “Today” show.
Lohan, who seems to be fielding more requests for her first post-jail TV interview these days than for her next movie role, is being heavily courted by multiple outlets.
But TMZ reports that sources at NBC want the tabloid favorite on their couch first, and are “actively” trying to book her for an appearance.
Though mom Dina says “no final decision has been made” on where Lindsay will deliver the dish, the Lohan family does have a history with “Today.”
Before Lindsay’s release, Dina sat down with Matt Lauer to discuss her daughter’s rehab stay, where she said the Machete actress would relocate to New York as soon as she was able.
Dina also revealed that Lindsay befriended “alleged murderers” during her time behind bars.

After a stint in rehab and jail, you’d think  Lindsay Lohan would learn a lesson, that perhaps she is responsible for the mistakes she has made in her life. That’s not been the case. Continuing her tradition of either denying she has problems, or throwing the blame on someone else, LiLo is now blaming her father, Michael Lohan, for all her problems in life.
Lindsay says:
He’s put myself and my mother and my mom’s parents through so much hell. From the death threats to throwing shoes at my grandfather’s head and giving him a concussion to threatening to kill my mother in front of my little brother Dakota.
I grew up really fast just because of the situations I was subjected to because of my father. My mom would try to shield me from that as much as possible, but I chose to get in the middle of my parents my entire life.”
Lindsay also says that him talking to the press about her makes her feel sorry for him:
“I feel sorry for him. Obviously, it shows a far cry for attention in so many ways. He’s not happy with himself. Therefore, he has to project it onto others.”
Michael definitely isn’t the world’s greatest parent, but neither is her mother, Dina Lohan. If anyone, both of them should be blamed, but at this point in her life she needs to take responsibility for her own screw-ups.

Lady Gaga’s career may be in the stratosphere but a new unauthorized biography reveals that her breathless journey to the top was not a smooth trajectory.
In “Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga,” which comes out September 14, author Maureen Callahan discloses that Lady Gaga — one of the world’s most image-conscious pop stars — has weathered her share of weight, food and psychological issues.
“We haven’t seen a character like this since Madonna and Prince, and Gaga has done [her career] so much faster and exploded in a bigger way,” Callahan, a reporter at the New York Post, told ABCNews.com. The author opted to write the book independently, without her subject’s involvement, so that she could freely approach whomever she wanted for information. She has never interviewed Lady Gaga.
It was Lady Gaga’s uniqueness — Callahan calls her “quick-witted, defiant and funny” and the fact that she has not made many career missteps — that drew the author to her subject.
“The book shows Lady Gaga is more different than you ever thought,” she said. “To me, she’s one of the biggest contradictions, ever.”
Callahan said Lady Gaga’s poor eating habits seem to have begun when she signed with Rob Fusari, her first producer.
“It was made clear to her by her people that she needed to have a certain look,” said Callahan.
One source mentioned that the artist often fumed while seeking a record deal because people weren’t looking at her.
The game changer, said Callahan, was when Lady Gaga began doing photo shoots. A month before a key shoot, she dropped 20 pounds.

Lady Gaga’s latest monster move, appearing on the cover of the September issue of Vogue Hommes (Men) Japan clothed in a bikini made of raw meat, should not be repeated, according to PETA execs.
“Lady Gaga’s job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body,” says a statement from PETA President Ingrid Newkirk.
Shot by Terry Richardson, Gaga is covered by meat only on her frontal area, with an extra piece of meat slapped on her head.
PETA recently blasted veteran singer Janet Jackson for appearing in mink for Blackglama, saying they’re surprised that Jackson would stoop as low, with her career “on the downslide.”
Did Gaga push it too far or is PETA overreacting?
